i live in Ca but want to move to NYC and i was just wondering if its hard...like would it be more difficult to get an apt if im moving into a new state? do ppl who own and rent out apts look at that as a bad thing?

As long as you have a job lined up, it should be relatively easy renting a new apartment in a new state. Also, you will need to have rental history that is in good standing. I do not see how moving from CA to NYC would be considered a bad thing by rental properties.

Moved in and out of many states. Make sure you have a letter from your current landlord stating you are a good tenant. You might want to contact some apartments in the area you are moving to and see if they have waiting lists, find out sec deposits and all that stuff. Make sure you have enough money to stay someplace if your place falls thru.
As long as you have a rental history people don't really care where you are coming from inside the US.

Yes and no. Moving house is one of the most stressful things in life. You should do some research before you make the final decision.
You definitely need to check out where you want to live. You will still be in the same country so it won't be too much of a culture shock. But you will have to make new friends, neighbors, work. Don't forget if you have children, you may want to check out different schools.
