My last period was October 13. I had a positive hpt on Nov 5, and went to the doctor and had blood work which indicated I was only 7 days pregnant. I am just now only 6 weeks 4 days going by ultrasound. It is possible to have the dates mixed up and NOT all women ovulate at the same time.

Normally I wouldn't discount your intuition, but the doctor is probably right, because the first test would most likely have shown a higher level of hormones if you had been 5-6 weeks pregnant. An early ultrasound is very accurate for dating the pregnancy, so I suggest you let this be the litmus test.

Your due date is just that, an opinion. An educated guess at best. I had my conception pinpointed to the day, and I still went to 42 weeks with my first child. My second child came early. Later in your pregnancy your doctor will be able to measure you and tell you *about* how far along you are.

honestly if that's what the doctor thinks they are probably the ones that are right. Just because other people "feel" you're further along doesn't mean anything. I have people that don't believe that I'm due in a week because I look "small". Believe me this baby is plenty big, i'm just carrying high and back.

you have to remember that doctors can only take calculated guesses therefore they cannot give you 100% correct info. you will know if you are and you will know how far along you are when the baby starts moving and you get much bigger.

Listen to your doctor. The first ultrasound will tell you the closest, but it isn't completely accurate either.

I have no idea to be honest, wait untill you get an ultrasound, that will be the most accurate.
