I'm not sure how it is where you live, but in little burg where I live, there are no mail boxes at the houses, so we get our mail at the Post Office.

Until a couple of years ago, they used to charge us a box fee, but I believe there was a a change in the Post Office policy, because we signed a slip each year and the boxes are now free.

I don't know if this was a local decision or not, but we no longer have to pay .

If it is a post office proper yes you would have to pay, however your complex should have a mailing address, or a box number you can use at no charge. Contact whoever is in charge of your complex and get a mailing address. When you rent a box at the post office it is for you alone and you would be charged..
