He was born August 23, 1970. He would be 35 years old. And I think he would a very actor. Something like Kevin Bacon, Kieffer Sutherland, Keanu Reeves and his own brother Joaquin Phoenix.
When he died he was only 23 yrs old.

I'm honestly, one of the biggest River Phoenix fan's out there. In my honest opinion, if River was still alive he wouldn't be into movies at all. He hated the whole ' Hollywood Scene ' I think he would have followed his passion of music, and tried to get a record deal. He was so close to getting an album finished with his band Aleka's Attic. Who knows what River would be like if he was alive.

I think he would have taken all the good roles Johnny Depp has been given over the yrs.Talent like his does not come around very often.
