The mom may not be looking at it as the 11 year old dating. She probably thinks its cute because she sees it as innocent like she does the 5 year old getting kissed. She may be overprotective of the 14 year old because of the past and also because the 14 year old is at an age where an innocent kiss can turn into sex. I would tell the 14 year old to talk to her mom about this. Don't start off with an attitude but by saying: I'm confused about something that's going on. I might be misunderstanding things but the way I see it is that ......... Maybe this can start a much needed conversation between mom and daughter. So many times, kids see it one way and parents see it another. The key is communication which the parent should be the one initiating but looks like in this situation the child has too. Good Luck and Take Care.

My opinion is that the mother is a little bit (ok alot) confused, and what's even more disturbing is that a 16 y/o boy WANTS to date an 11 y/o girl. Sounds like the mother is being overly protective of the 14y/o and not being nearly protective enough of the 11 y/o. She thinks it's "cute" for the 11 y/o to go riding around with the teenagers?? Is she going to think it's as cute when the 11 y/o comes to her and tells her that she's pregnant or has some sort of STD???? Makes me wonder what kind of drugs the mother is doing..........

That is bad parenting. Does she have a mental illness? If the older one was molested when she was 11 why would the 11 year old be allowed to ride around with horny teenagers? Is there a father around? I think she may need a psyciatric evaluation

"Now I do know the 14 year old was molested when she was 11 "
And therefore mom lets the next 11 yr old daughter be put into similar circumstances???
I am guessing that Mom has a problem and maybe should not be around little girls anymore.

An 11 year old shouldnt even be dating in my opinion. All a 16 year old boy wants his sex most likely and an 11 year old shouldnt give it.

Sounds like she wants to be a grandma soon. The 14 year old is going to sneak out and rebel, and the 11 year old won't have to sneak.

Disgusting! Has this lady ever heard of statutory rape? She's a nut-job for letting her 11 yr old hang out with 16 yr olds... and to treat her differently than her 14 yr old? She's a terrible parent. I'm sorry to say.

OH GEEZ. Her mother is very careless, and she seems to not care. It probably makes her 14yr old feel 2nd best! I think its wrong! I mean 11 years old COME ON! Looks like her mother has a screw loose somewhere in that walnut size brain of hers!!!
