I cannot find my MS Access book and I forget how to code buttons to add data to a table. I want to make a stats entry form form hockey so that I might add data for a particular game and have that data update the season and/or career stats for each player/team. Any sites, tutorials, or instructions appreciated.

Download the Access Northwind sample database directly from Microsoft. Tons of examples.

Old School is right regarding just adding information. However what you are wanting to do is a little more complicated.

You probably need to create a report or query to help bring up the career stats for one player. If you are wanting the career stats or year stats for multiple players you may want to create a separate table for their career stats or year stats.

if you need just add data to ur table in MS Access i can help you..

for example .

you have created your table with fieldname e.g. Player, team, stats,

so each field name corresponds with respective textbox.
after you created a textbox. in the toolbar, created a command button after u created a wizard will appear, "Command Button Wizard, in that in left side choose"Record Operation" and in the right side choose " Add New Record"

after you created it try it
