My best friend had a rough break-up with her boyfriend. He broke up with her over the phone because of his controlling sister. My friend and her ex have been rivals ever since, cursing eachother off, rude letters via IM, and even obstruction of the other's property. This has got to stop, but i dont want to get too involved, what should i do?

Sounds like, unfortunately for you, they have already involved you. If you can talk calmly and sanely to your friend about the situation with her ex, maybe you could gently encourage her to let it go because it is making her look like she still cares about him or why would she waste her time and energy being nasty to him?
She is going to get in trouble for this one soon. He may hurt her or she may cross the line and do damage to the point where she gets in legal trouble. Try to impress upon her that he is not worth it and she needs to let it go and get on wit her life...suggest some possitive options for her like OTHER GUYS, friends, fun, etc.
Your girl needs to move forward and let her anger go, it will only eat her up and for what?....Try to help her, the fact that you care enough to write this tells me you do care, let her know that you do and that you think she is better than this...hope it helps, don't let it eat you up either, at the end of the day it isn't your problem. stay safe, try to keep her that way too.....good luck.

They're not going to stop until they get over it. Their fighting is just causing more pain for the both of them. Rather then cry and get upset they are taking it out on each other. Just let them get it out - if worst comes to worst maybe the police will get involved and they'll have to stop no matter what.

I think that one of them should stop and right now, a person can not fight on their own. If your friend stops the letters, changes their email address and phone number then her ex will be left fighting on his own. If he continues to carry on the fight, causing harassment to her, then she can honestly go to the Police, but at the moment she cant as she is doing as much as he is. So tell her to stop her part in it now

in accordance to woman code you ought to no longer do it, yet on an analogous time you would be unable to help who you like. in case you incredibly incredibly like this guy then in simple terms kinda enable issues ensue, do no longer stress something, and in simple terms see the place it is going. although,by using own experience i will inform you no guy will ever be well worth a friendship. attempt and positioned your self on your chum's shoes, how might you sense in the experience that your boyfriend broke up with then you definately all started relationship your ultimate chum? My terrific advice is to purely enable this one pass, you have lots of alternative adult men come out and in of your existence, do no longer harm what could be a lifelong friendship over one guy.
