even if you check the "official" hp ratings, they were rated way under their true hp to keep insurance companies off their back. The only way to know the true hp that your car is making is to get it dyno tested. Many performance shops have dyno machines so they are not hard to find.

Take it to a dyno. You will get the real hp at the rear wheels, not just the engine. It is at the rear wheels that counts.
