yes, saturn's are safe and reliable. But their bodykit's are pretty weak.
Honda (also Acura), Hyundai, and toyota all are wery safe and reliable too.

Saturn is probably your best bet. It is the most reliable, and the engines last forever! I own a 1996 Saturn SL1! Its 10 years old and still runnin strong! Had a 2000 Saturn SL2. Totaled it but I was unscathed! Was going about 75 MPH!

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has a web site, www.safercar.gov/, which rates cars back to the 1990 model year. This should be a good resource for used car shopping.

If I will suggest a car for you it wouild be a Volvo S40 which is one of the saftest cars out there.
Of course if you want an even safer car get a Hummer you can run over land mines in those ;)

saturns are safe, but they are also pieces of garbage. retail value drops faster than any other car on the market, their engines are garbage, and the plastic bodys will crack under little pressure. buy a used vovlo, the old 240's are swedish tanks, i'm telling you!
