Depends on what you're trying to do and what kind of games you want to play. Each one has some very good-looking games, but the Xbox 360's been around longer, and has a larger library.
But, the key is whether you want connectivity to your Windows machine (to share files, etc.). If so, go for the Xbox. If that's not important, it's a toss-up.
Of course, the XBox has the advantage of being available. I think the PS3 will become more readily available after the new year.

PS3 is the best because the Xbox 360 is an amateur compared to the PS3.

I hear ps3 has better graphics but X-box has a better life spand and it won't break the Bank
