If you believe it is wrong to euthanize a person then why is it "humane" to euthanize a cat, dog, horse etc...?

I know what u mean i dont understand y people even treat animals different! WHAT cause there not us actually they are cause we are mammals and animals need to be treat just like a human being! Animals are no different than humans they breathe, live, eat, and even talk in there own language just like humans have there own too! So euthanasia should be taken care off equally not for it to be ok for one its just not right!
ANIMALS EQUAL RIGHTS!

although our pets are looked after there is not the medical advancements there has been for humans. In the case of an animal so sick the vets have no clue then YES it would be humane. To do that to a human would be classed as murder even though for the families and friends of the suffering person it may seem cruel to make them go on. Life is strange indeed.

It may not be "humane" (depends on if they're suffering) but it's ok to have an animal euthanized because it's not a human. That being said- I believe euthanasia should be ok for humans as well.

We know what it means the problem with euthanasia of humans is that you might be in a compromised state and you wife may decide to do away with you when you might just live. Doctors are not infallible I used to see lots of people walk out of the hospital (where I worked) whose relatives were told they would die immediately.

Euthanasia should not be allowed in animals or humans. how would you feel if you were just taken up and murdered by medicine. we are animals too you know. although we don't like to think so.

People are arrogant and value their lives over all other animals. That's why it's illegal. Quite unfortunate, eh?

TOO MANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR CORRUPTION OF THE PROCESS BY JUDGES, RELATIVES, AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES. A LAW ENCOMPASSING ALL POSSIBLE ABUSES OF THE SYSTEM WOULD BE DARN NEAR IMPOSSIBLE. AND AS WE HAVE SEEN ON TOO MANY OCCASIONS, ABUSE THRU THE USE OF LOOPHOLES, INTERPRETATION OF LAW, ETC. ARE ALL TOO COMMON AND FOR A LARGE PART OF THE POPULATION THIS PRACTICE IS REPUGNANT.
