I already have 2 children. I'm 30 and its been 8 yrs since i had a child.I Just found out about the 2 uteruses. Still bleeding. and can only feel cramping from one side only. Could it be that the other uterus is not in sync w/ the other? Just really nervous. I've been trying to get pregnant for 2yrs already.

Well, with two uteruses you can get pregnant and then get pregnant again. I do know that much. i would go to google and type it in and see what comes up.

Generally the only risk is getting pregnant while pregnant. Its rare, and not common at all.

My friend has a two month younger twin from such a thing.

Generally though, there isnt a risk. You certainly didnt just grow a second uterus in the past 8 years, so obviously you can carry children to term, since you have two already.

i just cant believe that they never picked up on the double uterus'... lol, way to go doc! arent you glad you pay out the ying yang for their professional services?

Double check with your OB if there are any risks in your particular situation. Then you will know for sure.

Most likely you have a mild form of a failure of the two paired Mullerian tubes to join in the midline, fuse together, and have the intervening walls atrophy. If you have had two children before, this is either only a mild problem such as a partial septum, or if it is indeed a total failure of the walls to atrophy, two completely separate systems. Most often serial early second trimester pregnancy losses are seen with the latter. Your newfound difficulty getting pregnant most likely is a result of age, but you should consult your OB/GYN physician for further counseling.

You need to have yourself checked out by the OBGYN to make sure that the pregnancy in the one uterous is in god health. The other uterous should not effect the pregnancy, but ask the experts to be sure.

I have a friend that had two uterouses and still had five children that are all grown up and off to college now.

You are saying that you have a poly uterus condition and already have 2 kids I think it's not advisable for you to concieve now. Because pregnancy after 30 years of age is a bit complicated. It may lead to mutations and could lead to the birth of children with deficiencies. Of course it's not the case with all. I was born to my mom after her 32nd year. Your doctor would be the one who can advise you on this.
