I have a '03 Jeep Wrangler with a 4'' Pro comp lift and 33in tires. Twice I've had the rear shocks break off after hitting a pot hole (usually fast) Any way to secure them on stronger?

do not weld them on as a previous answer suggested. If you are running the longer shocks which are needed for a lifted vehicle then look into a bar pin eliminator kit and run a different brand shock. If the bar pin is not breaking then just find some better quality shocks or watch out for those pot holes. But I'd guess you have to be going quite fast or the shocks/mounts are crap because I've jumped my XJ and not broken a mount or a shock.

Most likely cause for this is the shocks are not long enough for the lift kit you put on. You need to have extended shocks if you lift your vehicle more than 2 inches, or shortened shocks if you drop you car more than 1.75 inches.

the only screws you need to take of are the ones securing your springs to the brackets that the springs are attached to.

Not uncommon....Get new ones and have them welded on...Not to expensive!!
