He was showing me this paper that he was writing all this nasty stuff on and I started to write his name on it in huge letters. I didn't even get his first letter on there before he jumps out of his seat and started repeatedly punching me in the arm. I've never seen him do that before. Should I beat him up tomorrow?

I am not afraid to stand up for myself. If he had ever done that before I WOULD have gone off on him! I was just in shock, that's all.

I must say that I agree with Lily. I mean, wouldn't you get mad if EVERY paper you ever gave someone they had to mess with, tear up, write on, or deface in some way? Wouldn't that be annoying? Couldn't even a small, insignifigant little thing like that cause someone to snap due to all the other times that were even more severe? I would reconsider before jumping to conclusions. I do not think that this person needs any medical help or assistance of any kind, and I think that maybe some certain people should think before they nationally exploit their own personal problems and confront the subject in person.

No...fighting will get you no where! Just ask him what happened to make him want to punch you. Maybe, you did something earlier that ticked him off and this lastest event was just adding "more fuel to the fire"!
If he doesn't give you a reason, I definitely would not sit in hitting distance with him!

No, just leave him alone, dont get involved with him. Fighting isnt worth anything, and it doesnt solve anything. If anything, it makes things worse. Fighting is pointless, stupid, and immature. Just ignore him, and if you really wanna know you just nicely ask him "why were you punching me the other day?" Dont make a big thing out of it and dont raise your voice because things might escalate. If he asks what you're problem is, just tell him.... nicely, and calmly.
