In which region did Islamhave it's greatest influences ?

I believe it is not so much on the region but it is more on individuals & the believers.

It is obvious that Islam had it greatest influence over the northern regions of Africa and the middle east. They have spread it down to some of the Islands in the Indian Ocean as well.

It mostly influenced Arabia. Muhammad changed a land of pagan tribes into a large empire (Caliphate) following Islam.

The Middle East and North Africa, yes, and also Spain, at least until Ferdinand and Isabella kicked them out in 1492.
