Yes, America can still respect cultural diversity -- as long as immigration is done LEGALLY (like my own grandparents -- who immigrated legally and purchased their way out of indentured servitude).
However, the question still remains -- why does this NOT apply both ways -- and why do illegal immigrants have to DISRESPECT the Cultural Diversity of those who came LEGALLY to this mighty country -- the Poles, the Romas, The Germans, the Japanese, Koreans and all others ... who had it just as tough (and even tougher in some cases) in their lands of origin ....

Of course! But legally! My girlfriend and her family immigrated here from S Korea (hell yeah she's fine too!), they waited years and paid lots of money for a greencard and now she's waiting to get her citizenship. Of course it's still a place for diversity if it's done right.

Personally I don't think so. We are a nation that gets used to having things our own way. Immigrants tot his country learn one thing first when they "get off the boat" so to speak. They learn where the ACLU is and how to get in touch with lawyers. Then they bring in their own intolerance for others that was heaped upon them in their homeland and they try to force it upon America. These folks don't leave their countries and want to be a part of America, they leave and want to impose themselves on us here. As long as there is hate in the world, intolerance of others and unwillingness to understand and be a part of this country, no immigration policy or effort will ever make this a safe country.

Its so screwed up..... Imigrants is what this country was founded on.
Why are so many people so eager to get rid of the people willing to do work that "upper class" people are "too" good for?
Who will mow the lawns, who will care for their children? Who will be so willing to work hard and make a life? other than shop and raise ill mannered children who abuse the new drug and need years of therapy.

Of course we can. We are not closing the borders. We are just making it less likely to get in illegally. I welcome all to come to America just as my forefathers did, legally.

No, we must kill diversity before it kills us. Diversity is our number one enemy-just look around.
