I would not use WD-40 because it congeals and gets gummy. I would take the door panel off of the inside of the door and find out where the noise is coming from. It might be coming from something which is worn out and needs replacing. If it does just need some lubrication, I would use one of the dry film lubricants which I am sure you can get at an auto parts store.

Fords are notorious for that.
If the WD doesn't work then it sounds like maybe the glass is scraping on something not soft....

I would recommend you lubricating the window track with lithium grease. Works the best and lasts longer.
