You can often rent musical instruments relatively inexpensively from people who no longer play theirs very often but don't want to sell it for some reason. For instance, my son who is majoring in music performance in college and now owns a very pricey saxophone, is renting his old instrument on a monthly basis to a high school student.

Trust me . . . you probably don't want a free clarinet. When it comes to musical instruments, the old adage that "you get what you pay for" is true twice over.

Nothing in life is free. even yourself! just as much as you cost is much more than what a clairinet costs. but if you take it from me, i'd say "go ask your buds" they may have a clairinet you can borrow. if not, just go to ebay and order one. they don't cost alot, but it's better than nothing.

garage sale...and even then it won't be free.

most stores will charge you a couple hundred, but make sure you are in a rent-to-buy program, so you can use it, and if you change your mind about what instrument, you haven't bought it.
