You know, I just read a book about slavery within the US. About women being brought in from other countries to be sold to the highest bidders. (You probably know what they are sold for so i am not going to write it.) This book is fiction but based on true events. This happens everyday in the US and people seem blind to it. Maybe you should do your paper on that topic. Its an intersting topic that Im sure no one else will have it and you also get a chance to eduate others on the subject that most people never knew exsisted.

For what subject/ Most research papers have a strong opinion or thesis that the writer elaborates and proves. If you take a topic such as Capital Punishment, you would come up with a thesis or argument such as Capital Punishment should be abolished because it is inhumane, not a crime deterent and costs more money than life imprisonment. You would then explain each of your reasons, and refute any opposing opinion.
