Why do you want to do this? If it is for general health improvement, it won't make any difference in your health. Some people with serious health problems can be made ill by taking a lot of laxatives. Colon cleansing has absolutely zero health benefits.

Triphala
Aloe Vera Capsules
If you want to be more hard core - get a kit, like Arise and Shine or Sonne's colon cleanse.
They will give you fiber, betonite clay, and other key minerals and herbs to support the cleansing of the colon.
In conjunction, you may want to research enemas or colon hydrotherapy. The body ecology diet, Renew, Bernard Jensen books, all can assist you in your journey.
A raw, live foods diet is recommended, or at least one with mainly vegetables lightly cooked for a few weeks before and during your cleanse.
Depending on your climate, you may wish to switch to soups, and live foods to support you as you attempt this.
Likewise, if parasites are a concern, there are additonal protocols involving black wormwood that can assist.
A lot can be done at home with a few books, herbs, and your kitchen!
If you have any complications or health issues, undertake this with assitance from a naturopathic doctor or ayuvedic doctor.
They have a variety of tools and protocols to asssit you.
Castor oil packs are also nice when you are in a purge cycle.
Most people recommend cleansing the colon through eating fibrous foods - like vegetables, and salads. It is important to keep eating so you can keep eliminating.
Hope this helps!

Ok. This is the information my friend recieved from his doctor. You can get this toxinout kit from a chemist or health food store.
First you cleanse your colon with specific herbs to clean out all the toxic plaque, debris and parasites
While cleansing the colon, you have to replenish the good bacteria that protects the flora balance, which in turn protects you as it is part of your immune system
Then as a final step, using detoxifying herbs, amino acids, vitamins and minerals, you detox your liver, blood, brain, tissues, basically your whole body
You can achieve this through several different methods, but in my experience, the easiest, most effective and safest way is through the use of DrNatura's cleansing and detoxification programs, called Colonix and Toxinout. These have been scientifically formulated to detoxify the whole body using the latest research. The two programs together will give you the most comprehensive, all-natural detoxification system ever created, with a proven track record. There are over 100 natural ingredients in very specific quantities in Colonix and Toxinout that serve one purpose only: The most thorough detoxification of the human body.
The Colonix program is specifically designed to:
Cleanse the colon of accumulated toxic build-up and prevent the formation of new build-up through the use of herbal dietary fiber
Eliminate harmful parasites, including intestinal worms and their eggs from the colon
and other parts of the body
Help restore normal bowel function and promote regularity.
The Toxinout program works synergistically with Colonix to:
Remove heavy metals, including lead and mercury, as well as other toxins
Detoxify the liver, kidneys and other organs
Replenish friendly bacteria with a top-of-the-line probiotic supplement, and
Recharge the immune system through powerful antioxidant support.
Hope this was of some help!

Answer
Doctors don't recommend colon cleansing for better health or to prevent disease. The only appropriate use for colon cleansing is in preparation for a medical examination of the colon.
Your colon normally eliminates waste material and bacteria and absorbs water and sodium to maintain your body's fluid and electrolyte balance. Some colon-cleansing programs disrupt this balance and can be harmful by causing dehydration and salt depletion.
To help prevent constipation, eat plenty of fiber. The Institute of Medicine offers these daily recommendations:
38 grams for men and 25 grams for women 50 and younger
30 grams for men and 21 grams for women 51 and older
Also, drink plenty of water, which helps fiber work more effectively.

Well I use to work in Endoscopy and our Docs would give something called Golyte to the patients and it got them cleaned out pretty well. (well enough that it was practically clear liquid). They sell a product like it at Drug stores so you could get that, that is if you dont mind using the bathroom multiple times. It does do the trick though. Just remember to keep the gatorade on hand to keep your electrolytes in check.
Something less drastic would be to increase your fiber and water intake so that you are using the bathroom once or twice a day. Having a healthy diet and excercising helps to move the bowels as well. Hope that helps.

They have packages of 'colon cleansers' at the health food store...and I don't mean gnc either. Go to a health food store, seek out the 'vitamin girl/guy' and simply ask.....don't be afraid as they are used to answering any and all questions and are always professional. I've used them twice and they work spectacularly. It's usually a thirty day program, costs between 12 and 40 bucks, depending on what you get and won't give you discomfort at all. be well, Jack

Daily (not all at one time) drink 1 gallon of water, ingest 25-30 grams of fiber, and eat 2-3 apples. My health and wellness company also manufactures products that will assist you.

get a colonscopy prep, (very uncomfortable procedure)
and follow the instruction on the box. After this only
drink clear fluids, examples apple juice, water,
lemonade etc...no milk for sure. I don't know why you
would want to do this but good luck.
