Are you a spy? Do you really think anyone cares what is on the drive?
I doubt there is anything that important on it.
Why do people think that there are people watching them and waiting to go through their garbage?
I had a customer once who told me the government used TV to catscan people while they slept... I hurried with that job.

There are programs that erase the drive 5 plus times but the safe bet is a good hammer.

I prefer the many FREE and very secure programs, such as "Erasure" that clears drives to the Depatrtment of Defence standards... Only the NSA or CIA could ever read it, maybe, or, maybe not!

Almost as secure, and maybe faster, is DBAN run from a small file on floppy, or the floppy image, or file, on any CDrom, USB stick... http://dban.sourceforge.net/
