It would depend on what the procedure is. They'll probably do rourtine paps and stuff like that. They'll probably refer specialized stuff out to the ob/gyn.

It depends on what you mean by gyn. procedures. Pap smears are pretty easy to do (health nurses do them). But more complex procedures such colposcopy and surgery ought to be done by a specialist in my humble opinion. I suppose that some internists have been trained to do colposcopy.

You'd have to ask the doctor, but I rather doubt one would. There are doctors that specialize in gynecological needs and internal med docs don't.

Most can perform breast and pelvic exams, if they think there's a problem, they'd refer you to a GYN.

They're qualified to but I only go to GYN's.
