(Apple ibook G3 ,500mhz, mac osx 10.3.9 panther)when I go on youtube, google video... ect. the videos seem to just skip around instead of playing smoothly. Is there a flash player plug-in or something i need to download? or is my system not powerful enough?

Hi there...I don't see if you've indicated whether you are using a broadband connection or dial up connection while looking at the videos. This would be critical.

Because you are already able to see the jerky-like videos it isn't a plug-in problem but either or a combination with the lack of memory and/or your actual Internet connection. If you are using dial-up you won't be able to improve the jerky-like problems, because the connection is too slow to view most videos. However if you have a high-speed/broadband (DSL/Cable) you need to contact your provider and ask them if you can upgrade to a faster speed.

If you can see the videos, then you have the plug-in already.

In the example of youtube, the plugin required is the Adobe Flash Player plugin for your browser.

Most likely the stuttering is down to network bandwidth. Try upping your internet connection to at least 8 Mb, if it isn't at that already.

your mac is slower than most!

So it's either that or a slow net connection.

What speed do you connect with? how much memory? are you using other programs that may be competing for bandwidth or memory?

UPDATE: What happens when you connect your mac directly to the router? It may be the wifi is slowing you down!
