YES,YES,YES and YES!!!!!! it is soooooo crazy.....I will be a Christian and say Merry CHRISTmas and stand up for my beliefs regardless of who I may (here is the key word folks) UNINTENTIONALLY offend. I will not go out of my way to offend someone, but I will not go so PC that I lose who I am and what I believe in.

The Rabbi never threatened to sue, so whatever story you read was false. The issue was nothing to do with the trees--all he requested was that a menorah be added. He even offered to pay for it.
The pettiness occurred when the airport decided that it would rather remove 15 Christmas trees rather than display one menorah--and then had the gall to spin it to make it look like the Rabbi was to blame.

goddamnit people no its not it is people like you that make it worse!!! you say stuff like "yeah this is crazy" Is just getting it worse because your the people that dont care if something is politicaly incorrect. For one saying merry christmas is nice for you not to other people because guess what, they might not celebrate christmas, if its not a hassle to say to little words happy holidays, its just as easy. But to side with you guys also yes sometimes it gets out of hand. That rabbi thing... bullshit that was a bad choose on both the rabbis side and the airports side. Not attacking you but your not the soulution your part of the problem both of you the people like the rabbi and people like you, we both need to cool it and find some comman grounds to work together. Maybe the rabbi could have requested to put up menorahs and if the airport said no then take legal action. Remember your both the people that create problems. btw when you hear someone say happy kwannza to you when your a Christian you get way more huffy than they do, trust me from many experiences.

It isn't just you, political correctness has gotten really out of hand. I find myself constantly checking what I am saying so as to not insult or hurt anyone feelings. You should not have to do that. I am tired of not being able to say Merry Christmas because I might insult a non-Christian. I am never sure what people of color wish to be called on any given day it has changed so much. I have been going around this Christmas wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, if they don't like it, tough.

I totally agree with you. Just because you don't believe or like what others do, doesn't mean they are wrong or should be penalized. I live near Seattle and I am appalled that ANYONE would even have the right to sue over something so petty.

I believe your correct, I've felt that way for a long time.
The only people that seem to be offended by Merry Christmas are the people on the news.

Christmas was celebrated here first, and most of the decorations associated with it are secular anyway. Christmas trees have no religious significance. A manger scene is overtly religious, but trees, come on.

Yes it is getting out of hand. They come to OUR country, and start telling us we can't celebrate OUR beliefs when they only came here to benefit from us anyway. If an English woman went to a Muslim country (God knows why) she would be forced to cover up her face like the rest of them, and if she celebrated christmas she would be beaten up and mugged, yet they come over here and start sueing us, bombing us and still get to do whatever the hell they want benefitting from our health service which has been payed for by your taxes as soon as you were of age

Rather than learning to tolerate and celebrate diversity, people who demand political correctness are actually enforcing their OWN wants on others.
