If a portion of the ceiling fell last night, about a 1' x 1' chunk and it currently has a slow leak dripping, how long does the company have before they have to fix it (they were notified at 0700 this am and it is 1300 right now) and what problems could this cause for me (I have asthma, I don't know if there is mold it the ceiling area or not)? I work in a lab and am by myself. I can see insulation but it is not hanging down into the lab.

Lisa:

It is reasonable to be a bit stressed however if a portion of the ceiling has fallen well then place a pot or bucket over the area where it is continually dripping. I am not certain about your question regarding what is appropriate for following-up a complaint. It really depends if you are renting or a home owner. If you are a home owner then request from the individual you contacted to give you a response time and if you are a renter then you may want to check into your rental agreement or call the health department in your area. Oooop's the same would apply with an office.

Best wishes,
