I had a C-section last year in June and it took quite a while for it to stop aching. I still don't have much feeling between my belly button and incision, but that's normal and due to scar tissue and nerves.

I have feeling around my belly button but not on my incision at all, it's really weird. I had it done in March and I thought that I would have feeling back by now also, I guess it varies from person to person.

This has nothing to do with the question but oh well... for the first month after I had my daughter, I had nightmares about bugs crawling into the c-section wound before it healed... creepy huh.

I have had two C-sections. And yes to both of your questions. My oldest daughter is 30, so it is an old problem. I had alot of incision tenderness for probably two years, but I figure alot of it is you don't just lay around, you are lifting, bending, stooping and agravating the area. In the mean time there is a loss of sensation to area between the naval and incision, not much to do for any of it, just don't do any weight lifting for awhile ( no stress to the area) That is about all I found that worked, not to much pressure and strain to the abdomen.

My daughter was born by emergency c-section 13 months ago. I still have parts of my bell that have no or very little feeling.

Yep and its because they cut into the nerves and muscles of your belly. Mine doesn't really hurt but it definitely feels weird if my fiancee touches my belly and its almost uncomfortable. It's completely normal for it to be like this and I know a lot of women say it lasts a long time.

good luck

I had my son Dec. 05, my incision and all around it was numb for almost 6 months, and it hurt. Now all is back to normal..... If you are worried, why don't you ask your gynocologist?

Good luck.

I've not had a c-section, but I did have surgery a few months ago. Yes, my entire pelvic area was numb for several weeks. Dont' worry about it. It will come back!!!
