It seems to me entirely stupid and not ever, ever likely to happen. What would be the point in having shops at all if people could simply walk out, it's not shoplifting if it's not illegal, it's just legally not paying for stuff. So...in summation, you're suggesting the government is going to make everything sold in any shop in Great Britain free, given that to walk out without paying for it will not be a crime? The government may be stupid, but noones that stupid, it would ruin the economy and essentially make money in this country worthless. Never gonna happen.

Questions 2 to 10 don't require an answer, because the answer to Question 1 is it is not true!

May I suggest you stop treating your source as reliable? (Oh and perhaps a few basic spelling and grammar classes might be useful for you too).

Shoplifting is a form of theft, which will remain illegal. Your "reliable saurce" needs to check his/her facts. If you want to make sure I am right, try to shoplift something on January 2.

Shoplifting will be legalised at the same time as they take the word gullible out of the dictionary.
Google to check it out.

Lots of questions...only no 1 needs answering.
It WILL remain illegal to steal in any situation.

NO WAY! I'm going to start....there is no way that shoplifting will ever not be illegal. too many people like me would start doing it. it would cause complete chaos in stores...businesses would crash and everything else (chain effect) would crash too.
