Anaheim Ducks with a 24 W, 3 L, 6 OTL, 54 PTS, clearly the best team right now in the NHL.
the Sabres are in 2nd but 6 pts away from the Ducks.
but look out for my Habs and Huet.
ThA gUrU>>>>you seriously think Hasek is the best goalie in the NHL, today hes not even in the top 10 if you ask me yes he has a team that is really good defensivaly but it has nothing to do with him he will get injured shortly.

Don't be fooled by the dominant records of Buffalo and Anaheim. Currently, the best team is the Detroit Red Wings. They have the best goalie in the league in Dominic Hasek, and the Williams-Datsyuk and Zetterberg line is unstoppable. Detroit is on the rise in the Western Conference due to a slow start of team chemistry, the Red Wings have found their mojo and will not only move into sole possession of the Central Division but, ultimately prevail as the Stanley Cup champions!

You might think I am crazy but even though the jackets are 28th in the standings, they have win five in a row against some of the best teams in the league. In this winning streak they have beaten the oilers 3-0, the avalanche 4-0, the senators 6-2, and the stars 3-1.

Anaheim and Buffalo.
Detroit? You really think Hasek will make it through the playoffs without another season ending injury? Good luck with that.

Anaheim and Buffalo are pretty close. Anaheim has more points but play in a weaker conference.

Hands Down Ducks! And I respect their fans because they are not bandwagon jumpers or up on their soapbox about how good their team is.
And I AM NOT a ducks fan.
