go to get tunes/tones on your phone
then go to get new
then chose VZW Tones Deluxe
sometimes a subscription window will come up...just decline

Using the sound record feature, put the phone near a computer speaker (using good speakers), play the song and press record, and then send it to yourself. When you receive a sound, it gives you the option to use it as a ring tone. sorry. This is the only possible, not to mention legal, way.

there are some of the services they have in the get it now, that offer one free ringtone. My boyfriend got the mario brothers one for free off of one of them. you just have to go through all the services to look for one. try verizon's website under get it now and look for a ringtone place that lets you download one for free.
