Life hasn't been the same at Christmastime since Bing Crosby died. His special was part of the season's "Programming Triumverate," along with the original animated "Grinch" special (Anthony Hopkins did a great job narrating the movie, but he's no Boris Karloff) and "A Charlie Brown Christmas." ( I always cry when Charlie Brown sees his revived tree!)

The "pretty red bow" to wrap up the Christmas specials was watching Bob Hope's quips as he introduced the Kodak All-American Football Team every year.
