OK there's actually a product out there for men that called Bump Stop. You can pick it up at WalMArt for under $5. It's made for guys that shave the underside of thier neck because it's so sensitive it usually gets real bumpy. You can get it as a powder, cream or gel... your preference. I like the cream personally.

before you shave, swipe witch hazel over your knees w/a cotton ball like you would apply a toner. then, while shaving, save your knees for last so they get the most moisture. then make sure to moisturize!! it's good to moisturize while you skin is still dampish so you can seal it in. the witch's hazel will help prevent against razor burn/ingrown hairs. good luck!
