it really depends on what you want. i am a snowboarder that learned how to ski first a few years ago then i took up snowboarding. there is a huge difference in the learning curve. skiing is fairly easy to learn the basics but it is really hard to get good once you know the basics. snowboarding on the other hand is harder to learn the basics but once you do you can do almost anything. there is also a huge difference in the different injuries. sure, snowboarders tend to get hurt a little more than skiers do but when there is a broken bone, it tends to be a "clean" break that is easily healed. most broken legs in snowboarders are right above the boot line. skiier injuries are less frequent but much worse, they are usually injuries to the joints and are a lot harder to heal without surgery. yup i would choose snowboarding over skiing ANY day. its more fun and yeah i get hurt a lot but after a while your body kind of goes numb and you dont feel the pain so much any more because everything pretty much hurts. ONE day of snowboarding is totally worth the 5 days of "recovery" before the next weekend. ROCK ON RIDERS!

I have been snowboarding for 3 years now. Before that I was snowblading. I prefer snowboarding but the first two years are hard and difficult because it hurts when you fall and you dont have experience so you haev to learn different things. Skiing is easier in my opinion and snowboarding is more of a challenge but make sure to put a helmet if its your first time

Skiing- because you can go down more terrain. You can go faster, You can navigate around better and faster. You can do anything that a snowboarder can do. I love when they do a 360 with the ski's crossed like an X. Sweet! Plus I don't have to buckle and unbuckle everytime I get on and off the lift. I get on/get off and ski away. Plus It not natural to stand sideways for hourswhile your head is twisted looking downhill. Skiing is has a more natural position. Plus you just look cooler skiing.

Snowboarding for sure!!! Snowboarding is way more fun, and it also is a lot cooler. Snowboarders don't need lame poles to keep our balance.
