I'm calling the Tigers. They've got the pitching, they've got the hitting, and let's face it, Leyland is THE MAN!!!

(ok I'm a little biased since I'm from Detroit)

I wanna know what everyone else thinks.

Thanks.

Ok, the obvious answer is the Tigers, simply because Ozzie Guillen is crazy as ******* hell, the yanks are older than your grandpa's balls, and the Red Sox are too busy sharing a bed with some not-worth-$50million Japanese guy. The Twins are without Liriano, and the Tigers will have a healthy Verlander, Zumaya, and Casey all year!!! All you other chumps just sit down and watch the Tigers steamroll through the entire MLB.

P.S. - Stop saying "you can't really know because it hasn;t been played" DUH! we know that. Give an opinion you spineless fools.

Malik S - Alfonso Soriano signed with the Cubs, like a month ago. The Dodgers still lack a legitimate power-hitter and--in my opinion--are taking a gamble with a roster full of players who are DL-bound.

The Cubs, despite a meek rotation look solid right now as do the Mets and Phillies in the NL. In the AL, the Tigers--with Sheffield--are scary, the Yankees actually appear to have a rotation this season, the Red Sox are reloaded, the Blue Jays added the power of Frank Thomas, but lost their 3rd starter and may lose their best player if they can't get Wells to sign an extension. The White Sox still need a lead-off hitter and a CF, but they could manage with what they have. The Twins need to attack a bunch of the free-agent non-tendered players--Zambrano, Duckworth, Sosa, Hollins, etc--and make a move for a buy-low gamble like Sammy Sosa or Dimitri Young to contend.

All-in-all it's way too early to tell. The Indians could be right back on top of the heap in 2007 if the rotation holds strong. The A's and Angels and Rangers are always in the thick of things out west...

Too soon to tell. Too many free-agents still floating around to make a call like that. Zito hasn't even signed yet. He could sway the balance of power in just about any division, except maybe the AL Central...that one's gonna be tough all the way.

As much as I do hate to admit it, I am going to be shocked if the Yanks don't win it. The national league poses no threat to reclaim the world series with the possible exception of the Mets. Besides that look for the Twins, Tigers and White Sox to all make a run at the title and if any of these teams can knock off the Bronx bombers in the ALCS they'll win it all.

I think the Orioles are going to be the dark horse team this year (The Tigers were last year). Their starting pitching will do some great things...they beefed up their bullpen (one of the worst in 2005) and the line up is decent (good pitching always beats good hitting). My other dark horse team is the Colorado Rockies (great pitching even at Coors Field).

Hi Detroit guy. I'm from Detroit too. I'm putting my money on the Tigers also because they went to the World Series this year and they are still a young winning team. I think they will have more experience in 2007 to bring home the pennant.

Go Tigers!

I lean strongly to the pink soxs yet when the rockies can get some offensive potential on the bottom 0.5 off the lineup they could win in 7 video games. this also incorporates that there protection and pitching can stay reliable adverse to the powerhouse offense

Yankees. With the addition of Andy Petitte who is a proven New York Pitcher and their already potent offense I think they have the best shot right now. But who knows its still 2006 and the season is pretty far away.

RRRRROOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
The Detroit Tigers have to be the front runners. With the addition of slugger Gary Sheffield their lineup is impressive from top to bottom. The young pitching staff is another year older and wiser with "the Gambler" there to provide mentoring. Their skipper is a proven winner and proven genius in my eyes. Peace y'all.

Well as you can see i'm a little biased too. I'm actually hoping that the Tigers have the same success that they had this year because paybacks are a b i t c h!
I see the Yankees as being the team to beat in 2007.
