Adoption is a good answer. I'm so glad you are able to maturely except and love your new little sister. I wish you the best! You will have alot of fun in the years to come with a sister around to share your hopes and dreams (and clothes) with!!

Some people wish to have there own children. They will adopt when all other means meaning IVF can not produce a child of there own. Adoption is not easy hun, Maybe it was for your family but it's sometimes not as easy for others. I am very happy for your family that you have had the wonderful addition to your family and you have all bonded well. But for some people IVF is a way to have there own children. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

I want to adopt a child but I also want to have children of my own. There's nothing like feeling the baby inside of you and looking into the eyes of a human that you helped create. I can't wait till the day I can experience the joy of becoming a mother.

I think some people have a strong need for the baby to be "from" them & others just want a child to love. Either way they should be good parents, no matter how the baby comes to them. When I was trying to have my daughter, my husband wasn't that keen on even having "one of our own" & wasn't into getting "someone else's baby" so adoption wasn't an answer for me while in that marriage. I think what bothers me more, is the people who go outside their own country to adopt foreign babies when there are so many in their own country who need help. I know that foreign babies need love too...but it just seems wrong to me somehow...

Everyone has different views on this. I think that is a wonderful outlook to have, but some people want a child that is blood related. The bottom line should be that if someone really just wants a baby to love, that is a great option!

if i couldn't conceive another child i would adopt because i love kids. if you want to adopt then that's perfectly fine. a lot of women want that option though to have their own child and to feel their baby move for the first time and to have that pregnancy glow. i don't know how old you are but give it some time don't rush to make a decision now.

I feel the exact same way. But I would try to have kids first, then if you cant have kids..then try adopting, or have a child then if you want another child...then adopt.

I know exactly what you mean. Even though adopting is great and wonderful on so many levels, there is still nothing that beats having your own child.

yes I have a son of my own, I do want to adopt but not a baby, everybody wants a baby I would rather adopt 3+ so they have a chance rather there jumping from one home to another.

People goe through IVF when they are wanting to have their own child. I see that you are saying that even though your new sibling isn't truely your sibling by blood but you feel that it is . But adoption is almost always the last resort cause people want to have their own flesh and blood.
Good luck and congrats to your whole family
