In theology, monotheism (in Greek μόνος = single and θεός = God) is the belief in the existence of one deity or God, or in the oneness of God.
Ostensibly monotheistic religions may still include concepts of a plurality of the divine, for example the Christian Trinity, or the veneration of Saints, as well as the belief in "lesser spirits" such as angels or demons.

Monotheism is a universal idea that all existence has been created by a super power. Monotheist religions call this power by the name GOD (or YAHWEH by Jews or Allah by Muslims). According to monotheism, there can be only one creator of this universe; since if there are two creators, then logically, one of the two must be created by the other.

The belief in one god. Christians, Muslims and Jews all believe in monotheism. I am sure there are others, but those are the ones that I know.

belief in the existence of one god, or in the oneness of God; as such, it is distinguished from polytheism, the belief in the existence of many gods, and from atheism, the belief that there is no god. Monotheism characterizes the traditions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and elements of the belief are discernible in numerous other religions.
