I have a 1994 Nissan Maxima. There is a noise when I turn right, but never when I turn left. It kinda sounds like a clicking noise or like if I am running over an aluminum can almost. If I turn slow or wide, I won't hear it, but if I turn fast or narrow, I hear the noise. I replaced the rack unit because it had a leak, which got rid of the grinding noise, but not this noise. It has plenty of fluid, so it's not that either. A friend told me it could be the cv boots, but they are not sure. What do you guys think it could it be?

Sounds like a dry CV joint you probably need a new CV axle.Usually the CV boot get busted the grease dries out ,dirt gets in and the joint gets destroyed.Around here that usually runs around 150 plus tax on most cars.

CV boots, inner or outer steering knuckles or even a wheel bearing. I'd say the knuckles myself. When it breaks you'll know. Could go a real long time like that, or break tomorrow. Fix it right away
