I was up half the night with horrible period like cramping that has since stopped, but now i have a lower back pain thats not going away and a lot of pressure in my pelvis area. i also haven't felt the baby move since very very early this morning- is this just him moving into down (along with normal aches and pains ) or is this something i need to worry about?

Oh my gosh, i went into labor at the exact same time as you. (38 weeks 2 days) and was having the same feeling! People always told me that contractions are up high but that isnt true at all. Mine felt like cramps. I woke up that morning just feeling pretty crappy and not having any terrible pains, just more like annoying ones. I just went to the doctor that day to see if something was wrong and he put his hands on my belly and told me i was contracting and to get to the hospital. You might want to call and just get checked out. Don't be nervous, you are considered full term. Good luck!

sounds like the beginning of labor to me. Not all babies are born according to the text book. You have increasingly more often and more painful contractions until your water breaks ect... My ex mother in law didn't even know she was in labor until she went into her docs office and he told her to go to hospital . Her daughter was born 45 minutes later. So the cramping and achiness sounds like 1 of my four labors. Also babies often stop moving very much just prior to birth. But with all that said you should still call your doctor to see if it might be a more serious problem, or he may just tell you to wait it out.

having period like cramps and lower back aches are contractions. You are in the early stage....your baby is making his arrival soon. Keep contractions controlled and see how far along are they...as they get closer together (5 min) go to the hosp

sounds like you are in labor. call your doctor and tell them what you are experiencing. they will probably tell you to wait until you start having contractions before going to the hospital. they might have you come into the office and check if you are dilated. good luck!!

You might be in labor. I would go in and get checked just in case. My labor was in my back with my daughter. My babies did not move when I was in labor either.
