I am pregnant with a second child. I had my first baby in Victoria, B.C. and ended up getting a c-section. The hospital was beautiful and the surgeon was really great and I have almost no scarring. The nurses were great too. Now I've had to move to Quebec, and have only heard bad things about the health care system. I am worried about getting a c-section done here or in Ontario. I know that Windsor, ON is bad too. Has anyone had really good experiences in Ontario or Quebec?

Hi, Please don't worry...I am from Montreal and have 3 kids. What we are always complaining about are the waiting lists for surgeries, it may take many months to be able to a surgery, but in your case it not like it's a surgery that can wait!
So no worries, I had my 3 babies in Montreal at St-Luc Hospital and they were the best plus the maternity floor has been renovated not long ago so it's very neet and nice, I have many friends that had babies in many other hospital and were very pleased.
There's also many birth centers, 2 friends delivered there and were very happy. Best Hospital in Montreal I guess would be St-Justine's Children's Hospital (it is especially for maternity/babies/kids). I have a friend that lost a baby at birth and went there for her 2nd one and said it was impeccable.
Hope this is helpfull...

No I had an awful experience in Ontario.

Avoid the East York General at all costs.

They have birth centers in Quebec, I think they are pretty good.
