Bricks - I think you've got 4 thumbs down because Fever Pitch is the name of a footie film in the UK. I'll have to watch out for the Drew Barrymore one.

How about " The Natural" with Robert Redford(incidently, the book by Bernard Malamud is much better)

"Major League" is one of my guilty pleasures--notice how far down Wesley Snipes' name is in the credits.
The absolute best part is Tom Berenger's "called shot" at the climax.
Never mind how grateful The Troggs must be for the residuals from giving a whole new meaning to "Wild Thing."
For a serious baseball movie, I'm partial to "The Winning Team," which starred future president Ronald Reagan as Hall of Fame Pitcher Grover Cleveland Alexander.

Angels in the Outfield was good.....but I'm gonna go with Rookie of the Year....classic

A League Of Their Own
Mainly because I saw it for the first time when I was a teenager, and then again with an old boyfriend so it reminds me of some good times!
Plus it's a funny film!
