If you are playing with a bunch of people or even just by yourself i would chose halo any day.

Gears of war, on a regular difficulty setting, is more difficult than Halo on the regs. Gears of War concept is a little cooler 'cause your battling locusts instead of straight-up aliens, and the environments are breathtaking. gear graphics are naturally better, and the gore is way more intense. The multiplayer for Halo is the shiznills.Halo-classic. Gears- a new take on alien squashing.

well halo wars is better for pc but if you just gonna get regular halo go for the 360 ^^
