I think that would be a huge mistake. They need to draft and sign free agents that play on the offensive line.

-According to this article, the Texas already have Carr inked up for the next two years, after this season. The team extended this option
-They would be a fool to trade Carr because they already have a very good passing attack with Andre Johnson (92 receptions, 1059 yards and 5 touchdowns) and Eric Moulds (501 yards, 1 touchdown). Johnson is also a candidate for comeback player of the year with the numbers hes put up this season. When Domminick Davis returns to this team healthy, they have a legitimate running back, who can rush for 1000 yards easily. This 2003 rookie of the year, has already shown that he can do that and be a threat out of the backfield. In addition, Carr only has 36 sacks this season, and his line is improving with every game (last year a league best 36 sacks).

-While the Texans will have a chance to draft a good quarterback in next years class (Quinn, Troy Smith, Zabransky, and others), I think they are better off keeping Carr, because they will be a lot better next year with a healthy Dominick Davis

ok that's my concepts on the David Carr project...Carr replaced into afraid (IMO) to throw the ball. Now which will be because he did not imagine he had adequate time before he were given sacked because the line couldn't carry the protection. both way there are a kind of themes the Texans favor to handle QB being one. IMO Carr in no way confirmed a spark of being an excellent QB. Now they could be able to apply the draft alternatives they have left to boost that O-Line!! Now about very last years draft, i have reported this 100 circumstances. They were in no way going to draft Bush using money he replaced into asking so as that they ought to have TRADED OFF THE %.!!! besides Bush did no longer have that vast of a stand out 12 months, he performed nicely in that very previous few video games of the season.

NO!! They won't get anything for Carr. The Texans have lots of holes. QB being one of them but they will fill the other ones with the first pick. There will be lots of QBs in the draft and most will be going in the second and third rounds. Including: Jamarcus Russel, Kevin Kolb, Brian Brohm, Drew Stanton, Chris Leak, among others. If they can get them in the 3rd or 4th round that will be a good place to start rebuilding in the QB position.

I don't know, but it'd probably be the best thing that could happen for David Carr. He's a good QB and will shine once ne gets out of the Detroit of the south.

I don't think so. If you draft a guy #1 overall, you have to give him a chance. And people are going to say three years of starting IS a chance. Well, not really when no one is blocking. Plus, Ron Dayne and Wali Lundy aren't exactly the backs I'd want for a run game. It is very easy for defenses to stop the Texans when they don't have a home run threat and no blocking. And when you have absolutely no defense to get your offense on the field, it makes tough to get scoring opprtunities.

He has Andre Johnson and an upcomer in Owen Daniels. Give him a chance to throw it and they'll be fine. Obviously, they need to draft a good O-Lineman or pray to God some free agent O-lineman wants to sign with them.

GO BEARS!

It all depends on the draft, if they end up picking any QB from college, then they should trade Carr, but I don't think they should, because Carr is developing, you just can't see it because of the offensive lineman doing crap, as well as some other team mates.

at the beginning of this year when his offensive line showed a modicum of stability, he showed some real promise and racked up a lot of touchdowns with few interceptions.
don't forget, this guy was sacked about 4 or 5 times a game last year and still endured throughout the season.
if the texans shore up the line and gain some stability at RB, get some decent secondary DB's, i think they'll have a great chance of being a playoff-calibre team.

i don't think so,because if wanted to do that they could have gotten Vince young or Matt Linert but they didn't.Plus i remember Texans coach saying he was happy with david carr and didn't want him traded.

I think they should trade Carr for draft picks, and start fresh!
