I like the both, but i have to go with the band that brought us Eddie, The Trooper and Fear of the Dark. Iron Maiden

Hard to compare the two... saw both live in concert back in the 80's, both great performances.
I would have to say Iron Maiden because Eddie rules!

I was always more of a Maiden fan.
They just wrote about 'more' than Priest did.
Plus they had WAY better videos and album covers in the 80's.
I was also never a huge fan of Halford's voice.

This is one of the toughest questions I have tried to answer.I love them both.I'd say Priest, but it could really go either way.
