I work two jobs and I like them both but the one (i'm scheduled at today) has managers who are freaking idiots. Baboons could run this business better. I'm frankly tired of their disorganization and not posting the schedule until the day before the new week begins. My one beeotch boss made me scrub toilets last week (hey I helped her out by staying an extra hour and this was how she repays me) and I was pissed. I'm married with children and just about as old as these women. I don't need this job. Should i just not go in or is that really mean on my part? Thanks

You should never work a job where you're not respected. If you don't 'need' the job, then go in, "take the high moral road" give your notice.

If they are being mean to you - (sure sounds like it to me), then be rid of them - but hold your head up high...

Ive been in the same spot -- do yourself a favor : file a grievance if you truly have been mistreated . And give your 2 weeks notice if youre unhappy . That goes both ways -- if youre unhappy, you wont work at your potential ... and they wont be getting the most out of their employee . But id absolutely be sure they knew how you felt - this way, maybe they wont be so quick to do this to someone else - OR - maybe theyll apologize, and you can keep the job * Good luck -- *

Tell them, in a friendly way, that you don't appreciate the way you've been treated and that that's why you had to make the decision to leave. Give them the two weeks notice, and maybe, if they aren't complete idiots, they'll see that they need to change their ways. If that doesn't apply to you anymore, it might to someone else... But all this only if you don't need the job, of course. Good luck!

If you don't like or need the job then quit, but I was always told to give a 2 wk notice no matter what. What if you need this person to give you a reference someday, if you don't care then just don't show up. If you give a 2 wk notice the probally won't schedule you that much anyway.

Sometimes it seems like that would be the easy way out, but don't do it. Just give them the notice, work your time and continue on with your life. You never want to burn any bridges in life or business. I hope things turn around for you, but be the bigger person and leave with dignity!

If you don't need it, you don't need the headaches.

But you should give proper notice, not just walk away. There may come a time when you need one of them for a job or a reference.

I know it sucks, but I would give two weeks notice and stick to it. You don't want to give your co-workers more problems, do you? Besides, you might want to have a reference from this place if you need another job--and they might say you were involuntarily terminated for job abandonment.
