How do I get custom hair and skin color on the Sims 2 on PC?

Question

I wanna make a green alien family and a pale skinned goth family. I also wanna make a fairy family. In order to do this, I gotta get to those custom colors. I see where it says custom color, but when I click on it nothin' happens. I still end up seeing the same 4 colors for skin and hair. I need step by step instructions on what to do. Help me, please.

you do like this :
1 Start the game
2 when you're at neighbourhood view (where you see all houses) you press Ctrl Shift C and a white square will appear in the top of the screen write :
boolProp testingcheatsenabled true
3 Then enter Creat-A-Sim Mode
4 When you enter the screen where you make the sims choose clothes ect. you click Shift + N

And a square says you're in debug mode
You can choose from hidden hairs,skins,clothes ect.
