Some guys just don't really put alot of thought into it. They just kinda roam around a store aimlessly. Others really think about it and do a fantastic job. Just depends on the guy and how much he really knows you. One year my husband gave me a sweater shaver and a huge curling iron.(I have short hair). lol Gotta Love em though. If there is something I really want I'll give him hints. Most of the time I just let him roam around aimlessly. I think it's fun to see what he comes up with.

WTF? twats ok. I guess the same could be said about some women as well. I bought a SUV for my girlfriend last year. I don't even remember what she got me. most guys I know spend at least a grand on their girlfriend or wife's this time of year. They never really receive anything significant in return. I know I have never got a diamond ring or a brand new computer or a new car. Merry X-mas I hope you get what you want this year. Why don't you just tell us what to get, if nothing we come up with satisfies you (or would that just be to easy for us)

Not sure what a '****' actually is.... but, what would you define as 'something really nice (and on whose terms?) for Christmas' ....given you are someone happy to call a 'present giver' one of those 'twats.'

Because men are attuned to "practical" gifts, not romantic gifts. They'd rather give you a new set of pots and pans, or a vacuum, because you need these things. Never mind what you're wishing he'd give you.
Just like, you tell your BFsome secret thing, simply because you want him to listen while you rant and rave. Instead of that, he is immediately trying to find a way to solve your problems, not listening to your complaints.

It's the other way round in my house. The missus gets the thoughtful surprises and I have to tell her what I want because "I am very hard to buy for" apparently.

Try Dropping hints at what u want or tell his m8z and hat them to shop together bascilly tell him what u want in a discreete fashion!
