Not only that voting should be restricted to while male landowners over 25 years of age. Why? Because people with something to lose generally make wiser decisions

I think it should be raised. 18 is considered legal, but not fully legal. I also feel that an 18 year old adult hasn't had the time or the experience to figure out what being an adult is all about. Most 18 year olds are being introduced to a whole world of new things but for the most part, their mentality is still in high school. They don't yet know how to make responsible and wise choices because their life is really just beginning.

YES. we gave the 18 yearolds the right to vote but not many do. We did this because some people said they should have a say in how this country works as they are the ones who defend it at war times. So we gave them the vote but NOT MANY use it. I can also say not that many adults (over 21)vote either. It seems the elderly like me (63) take voting seriously. So yes if you dont care to vote at 18 then you can wait untill you are 21

If the age to vote is changed, then the age of military service should be made the same, as well. It's a very good indicator to all of how serious one's citizenship is, and the responsibilities and duties that come with it. I think far too many Americans are flippant about what is really expected of them, not just by their country, but also by our global neighbors.

In my opinion the voting age is fine as it is. I do think it is important that teenagers are taught in detail about politics in high school so that they can have their own views. Too many times young voters simply follow in the footsteps of their parents because it's all they've heard. Once you develop your own morals, you can choose. The main problem with voters is ignorance at the polls, but this affects all ages. It is important to know who you are voting for and what they stand for.

What's the point? People 18-25 have the lowest voting rate of any age group anyhow.

Only if the age of military service is raised to the same age. We can't ask someone to go and fight for our democracy if they are too young to participate in it.
