Superhero or villain. In real life we are both. To our kids we are often super heroes as we do things that amaze them. As the age we become the villain because we ground them. I think I will just be me and see what happens.

Venom - one of the coolest characters around. All the powers of Spider-Man with better strength, a suit that obeys your every mental command with some unique powers of its own. Invisibility, bullet absorption (impervious to gunfire), the ability to "spawn" from any piece of the costume left behind (taking into account the fact your "kids" will hate you, RE: Carnage, Separation Anxiety mini series).
Of course the downsides would be an aversion to fire and sonics (no heavy metal concerts or a career as a firefighter).

I'd have to go with Mr. Fantastic - an odd choice, I know, but for some good reasons. He can stretch, which has gotta be useful. He can alter his density, to become bullet proof. He's extremely intelligent, so he can come up with tons of useful devices. I think it'd just be overall fun to have all those powers for everyday stuff.
Either that or the Flash - he's just badass.
