I honestly am dying to see it! I saw a sneak peek and it looks awesome.
As a persnickety fan though I'm a bit disappointed with casting. Eragon is supposed to have dark hair, Arya looks too old, Galbatortix looks nerdy, Durza's just weird, and Brom doesn't have the story-teller look to him. And Saphira already has a name ( i.e. Eragon doesn't name her).

The books are awesome, and I doubt a movie will ever be as good. However, from the previews, it does look like a very good movie.

Oh I want to see the move so bad! I've read the first two books and loved them! I'm excited that they came out with the movie. :D

I will wait for it on DVD. I think it's going to be good, but I don't think it'sworth the $10.
