It depends on the situation. If a 18 year old male has sex with a 15 year old female, then why do people think that he would have sex with a 4 year old boy? That is the label that he will have. But I do agree that there are a lot of people out there that should not be allowed any where near children, even with supervision.

It should be on a case-by-case basis, not just a blanket sentence.

On the grounds that the safety of children takes precedence over the rights of the person who has obviously committed a crime involving children.

I didn't have any grounds and my ex can't be alone with my child ever. He can only visit when it is convenient to me. He can only see him for an hour and he can never take him for a weekend. I had a good lawyer. That is what you need.

If that person is a pedophile and has hurt children in the past. If they have violent kiddie porn in their possession and if they have threatened the well being of a child.

If someone is a baby rapist they should not only never be alone with children, they should be shot. And by baby rapist, I mean any child - not just babies.
