Because they would not submit to the Gods of others and thus since Kings got their power from Gods they were in rebellion against political systems.

That and they have been used as division tools by the powers that be as targets for the peoples hatred in order for those powers to remain in control.

Also I should point out Zapbrana is incorrect Crucifiction was used only by the ROMANS as a form of punishment the Sanhedrin had the right to execute him without the Romans if they wished under their pact with the Roman empire and if they had they would of STONED him to death which was their method of execution. This also is one of the reasons for the hatred of Jews IGNORANCE.

Jews were around when the emperor Constantine created the religion of christianity. They never accepted the imposition of paganised judaism. They understood that Rome grafted mithraism and Gnosticism to jewish faith. They kept track of history and they knew languages like aramaic and syriac. (triliteral semetic languages) The Romans and the Greeks being pagans corrupted whatever they touched. Jews did not accept their messiah- and still don't. So the church tried to force them. They immigrated outside Christian Territories. In trade they were kept out of many occupations.often forcibly impoverished. So they became insular and so did not trust the christians at all. People distrusted them also. For that reason they were made to be scapegoats whenever affairs of economics and state went bad. But Jews were not passive actors. They had real skills, scholarship and were industrious. They were not crippled by a priestly class problem or large numbers of monks. They never suffered the effects of celibacy and segregation of the sexes. So their creativity was not suppressed.
The Catholic church is largely responsible for the problems jews have had. It's no secret. Just like now the evangelicals and Baptists do the exact same things to Muslims for roughly the same kinds of reasons: demonisation, slander, opprssion & theft.
1. Their customs are different
2. The stay separate from mainstream
3. They are getting wealthy because they are disciplined morally
4.They have a work ethic
5. They speak more than one language
Any questions?

Probably the same reason as today. I know and have lots of Jewish friends and they are the most prejudiced people I have ever met in my life. Try and deal with a jew if you are a German. I know a couple that run a charter boat company in a very large city. One day the German owner who is married to an Irish lady was at the desk in his office when in walked a Jewish lawyer to book his longterm yearly boat cruise for his company. He asked for ( Samantha ) not her real name to protect the ID. The German owner said she is off all this week as she is not at all well. Conversing back and forth the question arose, are you working here to fill in for her ? The German guy answered, "No, I am the owner of the company". The jewish guy left and never booked again, nor did he get any other jewish customers he had before return for the yearly bookings. His business volume dropped drastically. This very nice German fellow was almost in tears telling me what happened that day, and he is not even old enough to have been in the damned war either. Now you tell me who has a chip on their shoulder and who holds prejudicial grudges, yet will defend you in court for MONEY, and a piece of the action. I wonder if he ever thought about the way people feel if they were all like this a-hole lawyer and held grudges about something a maniac done years ago and blamed them...those bastards killed JESUS if I wanted to hold a grudge..I tell my jewish friends this and they all still like me because I am a big miserable guy that takes no crap. I wonder if I were small and timid would they tolerate my input to their way of living.

Its very difficult to see how events 2000 years ago could have influenced so many people to be anti semetic.
In Russia there was a huge pogrom in the Jewish quarters, a ghetto called 'The Pale'. Which led to the saying 'beyond the pale' which means something thats unbearable or unimaginable bad. And the Jews are the only group who have a word for it, 'pogrom'. It means to attack/kill a lot of Jews.
Over 100,000 Jews were slaughtered and a lot of them fled to Europe.

People seem to hate many immigrants, some more than others. People who keep to their own customs and faith seem to attract hatred. People from different churches often fall out, political parties often split as well; theres a lot of intolerance against differences.
The usual excuse I've heard is that 'they were often moneylenders'.
When people are frequently moved on, keeping your wealth portable would make sense rather than investing in houses or land so maybe a lot of Jews did used to be moneylenders.
It doesn't explain why people still fell that way today.
Not everyone needs a logical reason; I don't think they 'did' anything to justify subsequent events.

I think it may have to do with the fact that jews were often a clearly seperated group in society, with distinctive customs (please note this is not to say that in the past jewish individuals communities have not assimilated). Thus they form a convenient (and if they are orthodox, a very distinctive) scapegoat. In Europe at least, the convenient excuse for persecution is that 'they' killed Jesus. John's gospel (am a bit rusty on this, i think it's john anyway) has a reference having the angry crowd say 'his blood be upon us and all our children' (see Mel Gibson's the Passion, which had this controversial phrase spoken in Aramaic, although not subtitled in English). Total rubbish of course but when have people ever needed a rational excuse to persecute? Also, Jews have sometimes been better off economically (for various reasons) than the non-jewish community, causing increased tensions.

A number of reasons. For one, some christians dislike jews because they killed jesus, the christian messiah. Totally irrational, seeing as Jesus was a jew himself, and if you beleive in the bible his death was meant to happen.
Also, there is a degree of cultural jealousy from christians and muslims, after all both those faiths religions and to a certain degree culture originate directly from judaism, therefore they cannot claim them truly as their own.
Furthermore, from the early middle ages, christian and muslim societies prohibited money lending, interest charging and some forms of banking. So jews were imported in to due these jobs, and thus became very successful financially, and have remained so ever since! This then translated into political influence from 19th Century onwards. This caused jealousy and resentment.
Also the jews have a very strong culture, sense of community and family values, this and the fact that they tend to stick together as a group leads some people to think they are setting themselves apart from others.
Some people on the left in western societies have a guilt trip about western imperialism, and as they see israel as essentially western (ie capitalist, socially liberal and democratic), they instinctively take the "other" side politically, seeing israel/jews as oppressors in the western mould.
Fascists dislike jews purely on racial grounds, they are semites, fascits have this view about aryan supremacy, and as many have biblical names and much of their culture has semitic roots, this causes much resentment.
Arabs tend to dislike them because they are non arab and non muslim, and have resisted arabisisation over the last 1400 years, same with my people the Assyrians who are chritian, aramaic speakers from iraq.
Of course some jews do have agressive attitudes, particularly the ultra orthodox, setting themselves up as superior beings, above the "gentiles"...and that doesnt help.

In relation to world war II and the nazis, i believe the depression played a great part. Germany had to pay an immense amount of money in reparations following world war I, causing hyper-inflation as more and more money was printed to pay the debt. The Deutshmark became worthless and the country sank into a deep depression.
Many Jewish people were generally intelligent and they were hard workers, often having their own family businesses. So many of them didn't suffer as much as other Germans during this time. Unfortunately, there was a lot of jealousy as a result of this and they were hated more and more as the nazis came into power. People just wanted someone to blame and it became more and more accepted to deal out harsh treatment to Jews who hadn't done anything wrong.

in case you already know someone that each human being hates, is it using the indisputable fact that human being is for sure doing some thing to tick each human being off. Such may be stated of the Jews. maximum Jews are very slender-minded and culturally inward-searching and do not take the time to understand what they do to make others hate them. Take Palestine for example: the Jews claimed that Palestine became "given to them by using God" and took it upon themselves to throw out the Palestinians, maximum of whom were compelled into refugee camps. Now would not you be a touch bit ticked if some crazed team of outcasts confirmed up at your door, claimed that your living house became given to them by using God, and then proceeded to throw you and your kin out, and also you've been compelled to pass stay in slender tents the position starvation and ailment became universal? it truly is just one present day social gathering of why Jews aren't to any extent further loved. In Spain and France in the course of the thirteenth and 14th centuries, the Jews were dishonest the universal public by using usury, bribing the politicians and depriving the Spanish and French of their property (between different issues). the persons rose brazenly adverse to them and threw them out. And in rather a lot the different case the position the Jews were thrown out (Egypt, Germany, Armenia, Russia, England, Uganda, and so on), the courtroom situations about the Jews were a similar. The Jews say that it became only "hate," yet how ought to such an excellent type of different communities of persons, living in numerous aspects of the international, for the duration of different circumstances in historic previous, all have almost a similar right courtroom situations about the Jews? back to my starting fact - in case you already know someone that each human being hates, it really is that human being's fault that they are hated. this is not "each human being else's fault." Such may be stated of the Jews.

They were noticable different. If there is problems within a society it is much easier to single out a group that have the appearance, either through race, or behaviour, of being outsiders and blame them, than to admit the problem might come from within. The most well publised example is Nazi germany and the "final solution" but there are many others throughout history. It still happens now. Look within the society you live in, wherever that may be, and you will find it. Have you never heard somebody say "It's all these........"blacks, paccies, muslims, romanians, asilum seekers, where I live, English, insert what you like in there "...........that are ruining things"

During the middle ages, the catholic church forbid its followers from becoming bankers and money lenders. (claiming that it corrupted them, making them worship money more than God)

This left the way open for a large number of Jews to become bankers and make themselves immensely rich. This lead to a lot of Christians becoming very jealous of the Jewish peoples wealth as well as their perceived control over the world's finances. This has led to a large number of atrocities under the claim of taking back wealth from the Jews.

Even today there are a number of conspiracy theories that believe that there is some Jewish masterplan to take over the world via controlling the international banks.
